In a nod to legendary filmmaker Spike Lee, the Jordan Brand came out with the Jordan Spi'zike silhouette. The Mars Blackmon character featured in early Jordan advertisements, which was created by Lee himself, was critical to both the success of Michael Jordan and the Jordan Brand. The silhouette incorporates a hybrid design influenced by an amalgamation of different silhouettes—the Air Jordan 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9— and share a space in this Spi'zike design. The brand celebrated the 10th anniversary of this design in February of 2017 by releasing an OG-themed black/cement colorway. The same design originally released in 2007. The design features predominately black overlays with a white midsole, a Varsity Red Jumpman logo on the tongue, and a grey tread.
