Roku 3 Internet de casa y streamers multimedia

I have purchased several roku's over the last couple of years and as good as the other models are I keep coming back to the Roku 3. It is the same size as the Roku 2 however the upgrades such as the voice remote control combined with headphones for the remote control and control being able to change the channel regardless where the remote is being pointed makes it perfect in my opinion. I considered upgrade to the Roku 4 however after borrowing a family members for a couple days to see if I would like it before I purchased one was probably one of the better moves I've made soon, the Roku 4 does have different qualities that I'm sure most people would prefer however the bulkiness of the device itself is a total turn off and which I will not be upgrading into now and I seriously doubt any time in the future. All in all the Roku 3 is 100% the best one on the market

Good old roku's. The old Roku 3 is the best roku ever. It plays everything you want it to, it's small and using a 12V power supply it's easy to integrate into any mobile application (RV, camper trailer etc). My main reason for this one is that it plays mp4's off a USB stick. Perfect for camping. I put one in my camper and since the remote is WIFI, you can hide the thing behind a panel. Sadly only the latest high end $100 Roku has a USB port and yes, it plays 4K but seriously - who needs 4k? Most sources are HD at best. For me, 720p is just fine.

This Roku device is a bridge between the older models and the Ultra, even though it accomplishes most of the same desired effects. The worst part is you have to interface over an computer to set it up properly and the time provided expires too quickly if you don't write down all the info you need to duplicate on the computer. Then you have to start over the whole process again. This is nuts! A better system is desired and less burdensome without having to interface on two technology platforms. But once done everything works well.

Easy set up, just remember that remote is line-of-sight, it must be pointed at the Roku unit. Lots of free channels (Roku channel and Pluto for example - lots of movies and TV shows) including YouTube. Live news also available in a limited way. To use antenna TV you still need an antenna and have to switch inputs - on a Roku TV you don't need to switch inputs if that's what you're looking for. Can also use with Pandora, Spotify and services you can get from the library like Hoopla. Need an HDMI cable.

The Roku Streaming Media Player was somewhat difficult to set up. The remote would not pair. I spent hours trying to pair the remote with the player. The company that I purchased the player from was nice enough to send me a new remote. Finally I configured the player using a wired Ethernet connection to my router. After my router recognized the player the remote did pair. So I am very satisfied with the player, but it took many hours to set up.

Probably the best iteration of the Roku devices. I like that it has ethernet connection. It has the compatible generation for my favorite channels. It seems to have a sleep mode when not using it. The light comes on when I activate it and it loads the last viewed channel quickly. The headphones work great.

The Roku works just fine. What is a bit of a disappointment, was the fact that it did not have it's SD card included with the Angry Birds Space application, but other than that, it was simple to set up and get going with a new SD card for it.

This was to replace an old one that was given to me but the audio went out. I am 81 and my son had set up the old one, I was worried that it would be difficult, but it was a breeze. It is performing beautifully. Great buy.

Love the talk into the remote search feature. Searching is very easy instead of hunting for each letter. The processor is super fast and the colors are vibrant. The only negative is the select button has been moved from the center to below the the arrows.

The Roku 3 still works well even though it is far from the latest Roku product or the fastest. But, it is affordable and offers in an easy-to-use package a very useful device that is easy to work with! I'm very happy with this purchase.
