Acura TL Shift Knobs and Boots

The Acura TL or "Touring Luxury" mid-size sedan entered the U.S. market in 1997. Acuras four-door luxury sedan spans four generations, and various trim levels and packages. As a luxury car, all TL sedans are automatic rather than manual, and shift knobs and boots fit various trim packages, model years, and sport or non-sport configurations.

Manual transmission or sports car owners may choose weighted knobs to provide a slight advantage when changing gears. The TL is a luxury touring sedan with an automatic transmission. Gear speed changes occur much less frequently than in manual transmission vehicles, even in sport shift mode with the S-Type models, which allows owners to select various gears without a clutch pedal. The weighted knob offers a different driving feel, but offers no mechanical or performance difference in the automatic transmission vehicle.
