Shine On When Selecting White LED Underbody Car Lights

Light emitting diode (or LED) underbody car lights are designed to add aesthetic appeal to your car. They also make it easier to identify your car in a parking lot or in a crowded area. There are many configurations, styles, and options to choose from when you are searching for white LED underbody car lights.

It is important to choose the specifications of LED lights that your car's battery can accommodate. The LED bulbs for the underbodies of cars are available in 12 volts or 24 volts. They operate on direct current power. The level of brightness of the white LED lighting units is 6 watts to 9 watts, 8 watts to 12 watts, or 9 watts to 13 watts. This wattage level is equivalent to 40-watt, 60-watt, or 75-watt incandescent bulbs. The equivalent level of lumens, or the measure of how bright the glow of the bulb is, ranges from 450 lumens to 1,100 lumens.

To install the light strips, disconnect your car's negative battery cable. Keep the lighting away from moving parts, fluid lines, cables, and any area that a jack would come into contact with if you need to raise your vehicle. Drill the attachment holes into the underside of your car. Use the fasteners in the kit for attaching the lights. If the kit has a transformer, install it in the car's engine compartment. Wire the transformer to the battery. Restore the battery's negative cable.
